HHS Senior Megan Burke Earns JWV Award

Congratulations to HHS senior Megan Burke for her award from the Jewish War Veterans Annual Brotherhood Program.

The program recognizes students who stand out in the work they do to promote citizenship, community and leadership. This year was the 63rd year of the program and Holliston High School nominated Megan Burke '17. Megan was selected by the JWV Brotherhood Program as a winner!
Megan and her parents attended the award ceremony. Ms. Shawna Frost who works closely with Megan through the Beautiful Mind Campaign was honored to be there to support Megan and represent the high school.

Ms. Frost reports, "The room was filled with so many inspirational people of all ages with the most incredible stories. The students who received the highest awards were each introduced by a representative from a college including Harvard and UMass. The speakers really took the time to learn as much as possible about each scholarship recipient and delivered very thoughtful introductions. Then, each student was given the opportunity to speak. Megan talked about her service and leadership and the inspiration for The Beautiful Mind Campaign. She did a fantastic job and proudly represented HHS. The event was attended by people from all walks of life. In addition to recognizing the impact each winner has made in his or her community, it also recognized the importance of diversity, acceptance, compassion, and service."

Congratulations Megan! May your service to others be a lifelong devotion.
