This funding allows us to begin a transition from a “Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)” model to a more coordinated “One-to-One (1:1)” program. Although BYOD has served us well as a first step toward technology integration at HHS, the transition to a 1:1 Chromebook program gives our school the chance to take the next important steps, providing better equity and consistency in the technology available to students, and additional opportunities for students to engage in authentic learning that strengthens their creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking.
